The MOGUNTIA FOOD GROUP considers environmental and climate protection a core responsibility and an integral part of its corporate strategy. As a manufacturer of high-quality food ingredients, we are committed to sustainable and resource-efficient business practices throughout the entire value chain.

The goal of our environmental policy is to continuously minimize environmental impacts, protect natural resources, and actively meet legal and voluntary requirements, while striving to go beyond them wherever possible.

As a leading food manufacturer specializing in seasonings, functional blends, sauces and marinades, Moguntia is proud to announce key advancements in our environmental sustainability strategy. With a focus on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, we are reinforcing our commitment to a cleaner, greener future both within our operations and across our value chain.

Our Environmental Objectives

Energy and Climate

Reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions through energy-efficient processes, the use of renewable energy, and continuous improvement of our energy efficiency through energy monitoring software.

Resource Conservation

Reducing the use of water, raw materials, and packaging, while promoting recycling and circular economy principles through training, internal communication and senior management engagement.

Waste Management

Minimizing waste generation through waste prevention opportunities, separation, recycling, and proper disposal.

Transport and Logistics

Implementing more environmentally friendly transport solutions and optimizing routes and capacity utilization to reduce CO₂ emissions throughout the supply chain.

Biodiversity

Protecting natural habitats through conscious raw material selection and sustainable sourcing.

As part of our environmental stewardship, we are working tirelessly to comply with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and achieve certification for 2025. As well as continued successful compliance with ISO 50001 (Energy Management Systems) to achieve recertification. These globally recognized certifications reflect our structured and proactive approach to managing environmental responsibilities, energy use, and regulatory compliance.

Select members of our Sustainability team have completed courses in supplier LOCT (Leaders on Climate Transition) Scope 1 & 2 Implementation. A training program equipping employees with the tools and knowledge needed to successfully support and sustain our environmental goals.

In line with best practices in corporate climate accountability, we have calculated company Scope 1, Scope 2, and begun assessing Scope 3 carbon emissions:
